Taipei Autumn Event "2024 Taipei Hot Spring Festival" Launches on 10/30 - Yamagata Hanagasa Festival, Beitou Colorful Fun

As autumn arrives, Beitou's largest annual event, the "Taipei Hot Spring Festival," will take place from October 30 to November 3 in Xinbeitou. This is one of the most important autumn events in Taipei. A press conference was held today (15th) at Taipei City Hall, revealing this year's theme: "Yamagata Hanagasa Festival, Beitou Colorful Fun, The More Retro, The More Fashionable."

The press conference opened with a "Hanagasa Dance" performance, with special invitation to the "Yamagata Hanagasa Festival" performance troupe, one of the six major festivals of Japan's Tohoku region, who brought dance performances and interactive DIY activities. Beitou's events this year are rich and diverse, including hands-on craft experiences and street parade processions, expected to make 'Autumn Beitou' lively and colorful!

Deputy Mayor Lin Yi-Hua stated that Beitou has become a Taipei tourism highlight due to its hot spring resources and historical culture, coupled with convenient transportation that attracts international attention. Hot Spring Festival activities include performances by local Beitou and Japanese teams, creative arts markets, food experiences, as well as family activities and charity events, allowing all age groups to experience Beitou's hot spring culture.

This year, nearly 80 businesses participated, with on-site electronic payment options and diverse services, along with hot spring cultural guided tours. To accommodate the "2024 Taipei Hot Spring Festival," the opening hours of venues and attractions within the area have been adjusted as follows:

2	Beitou Thermal Valley No. 30-10, Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei City	11/2 (Sat), 11/3 (Sun) Opening hours extended to 20:00
3	Taipei Beitou Hot Spring Museum No. 2, Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei City	11/2 (Sat), 11/3 (Sun) Opening hours extended to 18:00
4	Ketagalan Culture Center No. 3-1, Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei City	11/2 (Sat), 11/3 (Sun) Opening hours extended to 18:00
5	Beitou Plum Garden No. 6, Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei City	Closed for renovation (not open to public)

During the event period, partial road closures will be implemented at designated time slots. Due to the large number of visitors, to avoid traffic congestion, we recommend taking public transportation as much as possible. Bus routes serving Beitou Park (Xinbeitou Station, Xinbeitou Bus, MRT Beitou Station): 216, 218, 223, 230, 266, 602, S6, S7, S9, S22, S25, S39; Quandu Hotel Station: S25; MRT: Tamsui-Xinyi Line - transfer at Beitou Station to Xinbeitou Line to Xinbeitou Station.
