Beitou\'s Three Public Foot Soaking Pools: Extended Hours Trial 2/14-4/14

Beitou is Taipei\'s most "flavorful" area, as the proximity to hot spring sources and unique spring qualities attract many visitors for recreation. The Taipei City Department of Economic Development created three public foot soaking pool parks: "Quanyuan Park," "Fuxing Park," and "Sulfur Valley." Since opening, the pools have received widespread praise, with many residents requesting extended weekday hours for after-work use. The Department has planned a trial from February 14 to April 14, 2017, extending weekday hours by 2 hours to 8 PM, so that budget-conscious office workers can enjoy starlight foot baths.

To help budget-conscious office workers easily plan their foot bath outings, two walking and driving route itineraries have been designed for solo travelers, couples on dates, or groups of friends to fully explore Beitou.

Budget Starlight Food Route: Xinbeitou MRT Station -> Xinbeitou Creative Market / Xinbeitou Commercial District Food & Souvenirs -> Quanyuan Park, Fuxing Park Foot Soaking Pools

This itinerary is designed for budget office workers. After work, whether with friends or solo, you can easily explore Xinbeitou. Besides the cuisine at Xinbeitou Creative Market, the commercial district has many popular eateries where you can savor the most authentic local flavors. Finally, enjoy a warm foot bath at Quanyuan Park or Fuxing Park pools. Natural hot springs relieve tired feet from shopping and accumulated work stress - the most budget-friendly itinerary for maximum relaxation.

Budget Starlight Date Route: Xinbeitou Commercial District Food -> Sulfur Valley Foot Soaking Pool -> Beitou Night Views

The Xinbeitou Commercial District has earned a Michelin Green Guide three-star town rating and a New York Times travel section recommendation. This date route starts at the commercial district for leisure browsing and souvenir shopping. Sulfur Valley Foot Soaking Pool on Quanyuan Road is the only public foot pool located within a National Park, where warm springs heat up romance. Finally, drive to Chinese Culture University\'s Lovers\' Slope on Yangmingshan or the Beitou Wu Clan Ancestral Hall night view plaza to enjoy spectacular night scenes - dazzling views that catalyze romance.

The press conference also featured a meridian beauty therapist with 20 years of experience demonstrating self-meridian massage. Combined with foot soaking in Quanyuan Park and Fuxing Park\'s green sulfur springs or Sulfur Valley\'s white sulfur springs, this enhances blood circulation, promotes metabolism, and strengthens the body.

Features"Quanyuan Park" and "Fuxing Park" share the same spring source at approximately 70°C with pH 1.5. The spring quality is similar to Thermal Valley\'s green sulfur - "acidic chloride sulfate spring." Generally believed to be effective for chronic skin conditions, relieving joint and muscle pain, and promoting metabolism."Sulfur Valley" is supplied by Taipei Water Department at approximately 50°C with pH 5.0. The spring is "acidic sulfate spring," commonly known as "white sulfur." Generally believed to have pain-relieving and itch-soothing effects, beneficial for chronic skin conditions, arthritis, and neuralgia.
