The Taipei Hot Springs Association was initially formed by member hotels and companies in the Beitou area who are passionate about local affairs, working together to promote hot spring culture and the tourism industry. The Association is dedicated not only to promoting the hot spring industry in Beitou but also to internationalizing hot spring tourism and promoting Taiwanese hot spring culture.

The Association was formerly known as the Xinbeitou Hot Springs Association. In response to the need for international promotion of hot spring culture, it was renamed the Taipei Hot Springs Association, aiming to elevate the international image of Taipei's hot spring culture and tourism, and to showcase the new look of Beitou's hot spring hotels and tourism resources.
