The Taipei Hot Spring Development Association was formerly known as the Xinbeitou Hot Spring Development Association. In response to the need for international promotion of hot spring culture, it was renamed the Taipei Hot Spring Development Association, aiming to elevate the international image of Taipei's hot spring culture and tourism, and to showcase Beitou's hot spring hotels and tourism resources.

The Association was initially formed by member hotels and companies in the Beitou area who are passionate about local affairs, working together to promote hot spring culture and the tourism industry.

The Association is dedicated not only to promoting the hot spring industry in Beitou but also to internationalizing hot spring tourism and promoting Taiwanese hot spring culture.
