The Taiwan Asia-Pacific International Hot Spring Tourism Association has also begun developing the "In Toward Beitou" APP, hoping to combine tourism with smart technology, enhance travel quality, and enable visitors to plan trips conveniently and independently, while integrating coupons, discount vouchers, and e-tickets to let travelers explore Beitou with ease.
The Beitou area possesses precious hot spring resources, rich natural ecology, historic architecture, and diverse cultural history. This year it was selected as one of Taiwan's 30 Classic Small Towns for 2019. With such rich cultural, natural, and landscape features, it is a town worth visiting again and again. The city government has been working to build a "City Museum" without walls, redesigning historically significant buildings, neighborhoods, and spaces so the public can experience the charm of the old district in open spaces, driving the multiplier effect of "innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship" in the Beitou area for sustainable tourism.

The 2019 Taipei Hot Spring Festival will once again invite the long-awaited Matsuyama portable shrine clash festival to Xinbeitou Hot Spring, guaranteed to thrill everyone. To expand the 2019 festival, this year features 3 portable shrines imported from Matsuyama, Japan, each weighing nearly 700 kg and requiring over 100 men to carry, opening the festival. The 2019 Taipei Hot Spring Festival runs 10/31 (Thu) - 11/4 (Mon), 5 days of events.
