"An Invitation from Beitou to Japan" - Taiwanese Will Always Be Here Waiting for You

2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the 311 Great East Japan Earthquake. Over the years, the warm exchanges and mutual care between Taiwan and Japan have further strengthened the Taiwan-Japan friendship.
In early 2021, Japan lit up Tokyo Tower at the "Taiwan Festival"; Taiwan responded by illuminating "Japan-Taiwan Friendship" lights on Taipei 101, strengthening the Taiwan-Japan bond while hoping to overcome difficulties together.
Since the global pandemic outbreak in 2020, Taiwan and Japan have been temporarily separated by the pandemic. During these difficult times, we still think of each other. On Tanabata last year, Fukuoka, Japan sent Taiwan a love letter expressing their longing; on Christmas Eve, December 24, Taipei's Xiahai City God Temple replied to Fukuoka's love letter, encouraging each other.
In Beitou, Taiwan, the Taiwan-Japan bond began over a century ago. The historical architecture, hot spring culture, industries, and interpersonal connections left by the Japanese carry our shared emotions and memories. Taiwanese people deeply cherish these precious ties and memories. Therefore, we present this "Invitation from Beitou to Japan," expressing through video the steadfast Taiwan-Japan friendship.

「北投から日本への招待状」、台湾人がここでずっと待っております。
台湾と日本には、台日友好という深い絆があります。そして、北投と日本のご縁は百年も前から始まりました。北投温泉博物館は北投から日本への招待状で、台湾が日本への思いを伝えるだけではなく、こんな大変な時期が終わったら、ぜひ皆様がまた台湾に来てくださり、台湾の人情味やグルメなどを体験していただきたいと思っております。
東日本大震災は2021年3月11日で十年になります。ここ数年、台湾と日本との温かい交流とお互いの思いやりによって、台日の友情をもっと強めました。
2021年の初めに、日本において行われた「台湾祭り」で東京タワーをライトアップしました。台湾でも台北１０１の「日台友情」のライトアップで応えました。台日の絆を深めると共に、一緒に大変な時期を乗り越えられるように祈っております。
2020年から世界中でコロナ禍が広がっていますので、お互いが行き来ができなくなってしまったのですが、辛い時期でもお互いのことを気に掛け合っております。去年の七夕に日本の福岡から台湾へのラブレターが届き、台湾への思いを伝えました。台湾の台北霞海城隍廟は12月24日のクリスマス・イブに、福岡のラブレターに返信し、お互いに頑張りましょうと元気づけました。
台湾の北投で、台日の絆が百年も前から続いています。日本人が残した歴史的な建物、温泉文化、産業、人と人との絆が、私たちの感情と記憶を繋がっています。こんな貴重なご縁と思いを台湾人はとても大切にしております。ですから、私たちは「北投から日本への招待状」の動画を通して、日本の皆様に台日の強い絆を伝えようと思っております。
