Asia Pacific Hotel Beitou
- In operation
- Taiwan
Asia Pacific Hotel Beitou exudes elegant serenity with its own distinct style. Architect Koichi Hirosawa masterfully screens out external views from the building, allowing the hotel to exclusively embrace the tranquil beauty of Danfeng Mountain. The lush mountain scenery, with occasional drifting clouds, is wonderfully therapeutic and utterly captivating, serving as the perfect embodiment of Asia Pacific Hotel's philosophy of "stillness nurtures rest."
The hotel's exterior features a minimalist black-and-white palette — black represents the humble character of the Ketagalan indigenous people, while white symbolizes the swirling mist of Beitou's hot springs. Black and white also symbolize the hotel's round-the-clock service to guests, pioneering the integration of hospitality philosophy into architectural design. The Japanese architect left an impressive open space of several hundred ping in front of the hotel. Standing within, one is surrounded by frog calls, cicada songs, and lush greenery. In spring and summer, colorful butterflies dance among cherry blossoms. Facing mountains all around with shifting light and shadow, the refreshing scene uplifts the spirit — "between thoughts, dancing in Beitou."
Here stands Beitou's first dynamic hotel, featuring the nation's only large-scale AR/VR experience space, along with various activity courses designed by professionals, including a parent-child water play area, aqua fitness courses, and water aerobics. This realizes Asia Pacific Hotel Beitou's operational philosophy of "movement nurtures wellness," making Beitou much more than just hot spring bathing.
