Taipei Hot Spring Development Association Chairperson Chou Shui-Mei stated that Beitou is Taipei\'s back garden. Besides leisure, tourism, and historical sites, Beitou has its unique local hot spring culture. Recently Beitou also became a Pokemon hunting hotspot, with Xinbeitou MRT Station daily traffic surging from 6,000 to 18,000 passengers due to the Pokemon Go craze, also boosting surrounding commercial districts.

The 5-day festival continues the Yukata Design Awards and fashion show, plus yukata accessory DIY, Nakashi Star Singing Competition, and holiday hot spring shuttle buses with expert-led in-depth Beitou tours. Ming Hwa Yuan Taiwanese Opera performs the annual production "Wu Song Fights the Tiger" - come to Beitou for great performances and diverse hot spring culture.
Aligning with this year\'s "tech tourism" theme, the exclusive "Hot Spring Witch GO!" app offers deals like buy-1-get-1-free bathing, 58% off accommodation, and limited in-store gifts just by showing the app. The Lucky 7 promotion runs through November 27, with draws on every date containing 7 for NT$10,000+ premium Beitou hot spring suite vouchers.
During the festival, periodic traffic controls and road closures near Xinbeitou MRT Station\'s south side will be in effect. Due to large crowds, visitors are urged to take public transportation.
