Catch Pokemon, Love the Earth: Hot Spring Association Urges Players to Aim Their Trash

Recently, Taipei\'s Beitou Park has become a popular Pokemon Go hotspot, drawing many trainers. Nearby businesses welcome visitors to the Xinbeitou commercial district, but the traffic congestion and trash have caused some inconvenience to local residents.

To maintain the Beitou Hot Spring area and park surroundings, the Taipei Hot Spring Development Association, led by Chairperson Chou Shui-Mei, proactively organized a cleanup with Beitou Chang\'an Village Chief Chen Chang-Sheng, Zhongxin Village Chief Chen Li-Chang, well-known hotel operators, and city parks department staff on August 21, 2016 at 8 AM. The cleanup covered Beitou Park, both sides of Beitou Creek, and Guangming and Zhongshan Roads near landmarks, collecting over 100 kilograms of trash - mostly plastic bottles, utensils, and tissue paper. Though everyone was drenched in sweat, they restored beautiful surroundings to Beitou Park.

To ensure visitors always enjoy clean environments and beautiful scenery, the Association arranged for 5 additional trash bins and urges Pokemon trainers to remind their friends to "keep trash off the ground" - aim your trash into bins as accurately as catching Pokemon, and even pick up litter in sight like catching treasures, creating a better recreation environment for everyone while staying safe!

With small gestures, let\'s make Beitou a shared space of joy. The Association extends its deepest gratitude to all participating players and citizens.
